Trap Or Die Pt. 2 (By Any Means Necessary)
Trap Or Die II: By Any Means Necessary | Don Cannon & Young Jeezy
When the original TRAP OR DIE was released back in November of 2005, the rapper originally known as Lil' Jay was barely makin' a name for himself outside of his West Atlanta 4th Ward hood. His first mixtape -- his virtual rookie card in the game -- went by the name of 'Streets Iz Watchin' and it pointedly spoke to his short-term future. The streets were definitely watching. The long-term future held much more for Jeezy: sure, several other certified hood-platinum mixtapes, but the kid grew outta the slums to earn two platinum plaques and a gold one for his first three albums.
And 'Trap Or Die' was the move that made it all happen. Taking over the streets with a buzz so monumental, no other single mixtape has been responsible for such a meteoric rise (at least until Drake's 'So Far Gone'). TRAP OR DIE! was not only a mixtape but it became a movement. And Jeezy was the undisputed leader of the Trap movement.
Fast-forward almost four and half years and Don Cannon is at the helm and the Snowman is ready to go. TRAP OR DIE #2 is that epic sh*t. Jeezy channels his inner-Malcolm and declares this Trappin sh*t is "By Any Means Necessary." Suckas ain't ready. Get 'em Jeezy. An INSTANT street masterpiece!!
